“Yesterday, Abbey Road was not so far away…
Now we looks at it as a myth it stays. (sic)
Oh, it reminds me of yesterday.”
Well, well, well. That was not “Yesterday” but the 8th of August. Abbey Road’s album pictured its 44 years old and since the perfect V with the Fab Four legs, lots of tourists froze on the crosswalk.
We were there too. We: Liilly la Grenouille from Une Grenouille en Pays Rosbeef, *A* from Bons Baisers From London and a lovely (and very nice) German tourist to shoulder the character of Ringo Starr.
Look how Liilly la Grenouille paid tribute to the band with the slightest details. Fortunately she didn’t die after taking her shoes off. Besides *A* was not killed by a mad groupie (she has many fans here). And I haven’t caught cancer #Piscespower. But maybe our lovely stranger became a billionaire, but no one knows whether she actually became a Monaco tax refugee.
Do a lot of visitors steal the gifted band’s dream just by walking on the asphalt? Talent can’t be caught like a flu though! But money could buy this love of music… well “could” for no one hasn’t really opened a tourist shop around the music place. Such a sacred place must be kept safe. It sounds like… When the sun goes up, you might meet a strange character, character because it seems to have come out from a Kerouac’s novel. Free in his hair and in his mind, the 20th casual young boy stared with an inattentive glimpse to the street. But in his hands, an unexpected sign with the simple few words “Ask me if you want a picture”. Astonished by the helpful offer, how not start talking to this strange specimen.
“- What is that?
– Oh I offer my help to tourists. If you want a picture, I could…
– Thank you, I’ve already done this. Is it for free?
– Yes, it is. Before, I used to sell souvenirs, posters and CDs of the street…”
